The flashy and flamboyant undefeated boxing star Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. is back on “24/7” to help build up his upcoming fight with WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico. For Mayweather this is nothing new, he has appeared on HBO 24/7 several times from 2007 to present and loves the attention, Cotto’s familiar with the show as well, having appeared on the series for his fights against Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito.
HBO cameras follow Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Miguel Cotto as they begin preparations for their upcoming HBO Pay-Per-View fight on May 5th. For Mayweather he will have the opportunity to win another world title at 154-pounds and he feels that Miguel is an undefeated fighter because his losses to Antonio Margarito and Manny Pacquiao were not fought on fair terms — Margarito got caught with tainted handwraps and Pacquiao fought Cotto at a catchweight. For Cotto who holds the WBA junior middleweight belt this is his chance to make history by being the first man to defeat Mayweather.
24/7 Mayweather/Cotto episode No. 1 debuts on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 9:45-10:15 PM ET/PT on HBO. Replays will air on HBO, HBO2, HBO On Demand and HBO GO, visit HBO.com/boxing for more information on Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Miguel Cotto, 24/7, and other boxing events scheduled.
