Boxer Manny Pacquiao won’t fight until Celtics vs. Heat game 7 is over

June 9, 2012 By NB News

Eight-division world boxing champion and Filipino congressman, Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, has one of his toughest fights on June 9 against the undefeated Timothy Bradley, but the die-hard Boston Celtics basketball fan refuses to start the main event until game 7 of the NBA Celtics vs. Heat playoff series is finished.

Bob Arum, the promoter of the Pacquiao vs. Bradley HBO Pay-Per-View said he isn’t going to try and convince Manny to start the fight before the Celtics-Heat game is finished, “I’m not waiting for Manny’s request on this one. We will not begin the Pacquiao – Bradley main event fight until the Celtics and the Heat finish their playoff game,” said hall of fame boxing promoter Arum.

“Now Manny, the Heat, the Celtics, and sports fans watching the basketball game won’t have to make a choice between events, they will be able to watch both. However, the action-packed pay-per-view undercard will begin as scheduled at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.”

The main event will not start until after Manny Pacquiao finishes watching the Boston Celtics vs. Miami Heat game.
