Tim Bradley Will Capitalize On Manny Pacquiao’s Many Mistakes

From a purely boxing standpoint, Tim Bradley is a good all around fighter, he is finely conditioned, and knows how to win a fight without taking much damage. Manny Pacquiao lacks boxing skill, he is a pure brawler with only one dimension and has no defense at all.

Bradley might not be on the level of a Floyd Mayweather Jr. or a Juan Manuel Marquez, but his skill is still superior than Manny Pacquiao’s. Pacquiao is a sucker for the right hand, and he doesn’t have any head movement or slip game to avoid it, Bradley’s overhand right is very deceptive and sneaky, he will duck low with his head forward and throw it over the top and land it on your chin, this is the punch he uses to hurt many of his opponents because they don’t see it coming.

If you study both fighters, you can see that Manny Pacquiao has no ring intelligence at all and cannot adjust to slick fighters or guys who move and don’t stand in one place, Bradley has a high ring IQ because he has fought fighters who have moved and were faster than him, but still found ways to beat them and remain undefeated.

When Timothy Bradley and Manny Pacquiao step in the ring on June 9, I strongly believe that Bradley will pull off the upset and make Pacquiao look terrible, even worse than Juan Manuel Marquez made Pacquiao look. All Bradley has to do is worry about Pacquiao’s straight left hand, Bradley will need to duck low and Pacquiao will overshoot his left hand causing both fighters to clinch. If Bradley can avoid that left hand, he will have an easy night, and toy with Pacquiao all night long.

I don’t see any adjustment that Pacquiao can make to beat Bradley because he is very limited in his skill set and doesn’t know what to do to adjust to an opponent. Pacquiao can’t cut off a ring, has no defense, and keeps lunging in with his flurries making it very easy to counter just by stepping back and throwing punches or turning to the side and punching. The only thing that worries me and many boxing fans is that they might give Pacquiao the gift decision if the fight goes the distance. Bradley will have to fight the perfect fight and capitalize on Manny’s many mistakes to win.
