The Ultimate Fighting Championship will hold their fourth UFC on FOX card live from Downtown Los Angeles, California at the Staples Center on August 4, 2012 with the main event being a light heavyweight showdown between Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Brandon “The Truth” Vera.
The main event is an intriguing match-up between two of the best mixed martial arts Muay Thai kickboxing specialists, Shogun known for his brutal Thai clinch and knees, and Vera known for his technical striking and counter punching.
UFC President Dana White said the winner of Mauricio “Shogun” Rua vs. Brandon “The Truth” Vera will be next in line to fight for the UFC light heavyweight title against champion Jon Jones.
