Alexander Povetkin vs. Hasim Rahman WBA world heavyweight championship will take place on Saturday, September 29 at 4:30 PM ET/PT (live on Epix/EpixHD.com live stream) from The Sporthalle in Hamburg, Germany.
Alexander Povetkin (24-0, 16 KOs) is an undefeated former 2004 Olympic gold medalist and current WBA heavyweight champion from Russia and will be making his third title defense on Saturday night against American boxing veteran and former WBC, IBF, and IBO heavyweight champion, Hasim “The Rock” Rahman (50-7-2, 41 KOs).
Also on the undercard is a co-feature heavyweight bout between two undefeated heavyweight contenders Alexander Ustinov (27-0, 21 KOs) of Russia versus Kubrat “The Cobra” Pulev (16-0, 8 KOs) of Bulgaria.
Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach best known for training Manny Pacquiao to multiple world titles will do commentary alongside ESPN’s boxing analyst Dan Rafael, WNBC-TV sports anchor Bruce Beck, and Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated will host the event.
