After UFC 151 Jones vs. Henderson was canceled due to an injury Dan Henderson suffered in training camp, Jon Jones, opted to fight Vitor Belfort at UFC 152 instead of taking on a last minute replacement opponent in Chael Sonnen. Vitor Belfort is a former UFC heavyweight champion and one of the early pioneers of MMA, he is willing to see if his many years experience can trump the youth and athleticism of the current UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones. UFC 152 will take place at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
UFC 152 also signifies the first ever UFC flyweight championship bout (125-lbs), with Joseph Benavidez vs. Demetrious Johnson fighting for the right to be called the first ever UFC flyweight champion. Popular British fighter Michael Bisping will take on All American Brian Stann in a middleweight bout, Cub Swanson faces Charles Oliveira in a catchweight (146-lbs) bout, and Matt Hamill returns to the UFC against Roger Hollett.
