BROOK FAVOURITE AHEAD OF SALDIVIA SHOWDOWN

October 19, 2012 By NB News Leave a Comment

KELL BROOK looks set to maintain his unbeaten run with a win over Argentina’s Hector Saldivia this weekend, according to the betting on Betfair. Boasting a record of 28 wins and no losses, Brook is the big odds-on favourite at 1-9 for victory in his home city of Sheffield on Saturday.

Nicknamed ‘El Tigre’, Saldivia comes into this bout off the back of an eight match winning streak. However odds of 7-2 suggest that that run will come to an end against Brook at the Motorpoint Arena this weekend. The draw trades at 64-1.

Betfair’s Alex Bake said: “The home fans will be right behind Brook and it’ll be interesting to see how Saldivia copes with fighting outside of south America for the first time in front of such a fiery crowd. There’s so much at stake here neither boxer will want to give an inch, but our punters are backing Brook to win this one and go on challenge for that world title.”

Brook v Saldivia – Betfair bet: 1-9 Brook, 7-2 Hector Saldivia, 64-1 the draw
