Watch HBO Boxing: Berto vs. Guerrero, Quintana vs. Thurman Live

November 24, 2012 By NB News

HBO’s Boxing After Dark heads over to the Citizens Bank Arena in Ontario, California for an exciting double header featuring Andre Berto vs. Robert Guerrero and Carlos Quintana vs. Keith Thurman.

The main event of the evening is a interim WBC welterweight title bout between current interim champ Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero and former WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto.

Guerrero (30-1-1, 19 KOs) is a former featherweight and super featherweight world champion, this is his second fight at 147 pounds and he is taking on a very big test in Andre Berto (28-1-0, 22 KOs) a former world champion and natural welterweight.

For Guerrero his ambition to be the best is what drives him to compete, his wife Casey was diagnosed with leukemia and he left boxing to take care of her, now that she is doing much better he is more motivated with her support to fight anyone. Guerrero wants to fight the big names and the best to solidify his legacy from Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather Jr, Juan Manuel Marquez, Timothy Bradley, even going up in weight to fight WBC junior welterweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez. Berto hasn’t fought since testing positive for a steroid in the lead up to his rematch with Victor Ortiz which had to be canceled due to the failed drug test.

The opening bout of the HBO B.A.D card will feature up and coming hard hitting welterweight prospect Keith “One Time” Thurman (18-0, 17 KOs) against his toughest test in former WBO welterweight champion Carlos Quintana (29-3, 23 KOs).

Watch HBO Boxing After Dark Robert Guerrero vs. Andre Berto, Carlos Quintana vs. Keith Thurman double header live on November 24 at 10/7 PM ET/PT on HBO.
