The Manny Pacquiao KO Is A Victory For Mayweather, Marquez, And True Boxing Fans

Manny Pacquiao and the Pacmania craze of casual boxing fans has finally come to an end. This is a breath of fresh air for boxing, many true boxing fans like myself had to endure so many years of having to hear people who knew jack about boxing telling us how great Manny Pacquiao was and how he would destroy Floyd Mayweather Jr., we destroyed their baseless claims with boxing knowledge and factual evidence and were called idiots and racial slurs for it.

I still remember when I told some Pacmaniacs that Juan Manuel Marquez was robbed and beat Pacquiao, and that Floyd Mayweather Jr. was a better version of Marquez, they had no intelligent answer but to tell me that Pacquiao has an iron chin and Floyd Mayweather was rocked twice by Sugar Shane Mosley. Well the truth always comes out, and like I’ve said many times before Manny Pacquiao was never a great fighter just carefully managed and built up to sell to the gullible people. The so called iron chin just got cracked by Juan Manuel Marquez and the Marquez, Mayweather, and true boxing fans in general got the last laugh — we all screamed for joy when Pacquiao got knocked out.

Boxing is filled with hyped up fighters, and anytime one of them gets exposed it’s always a enjoyable moment, but it also hurts the sport. These hyped up media creations like Manny Pacquiao hurt the sport because they give the casual fan this false impression that he was better than someone like Floyd Mayweather Jr., the Boxing writers even named Pacquiao “Fighter of the Decade” over Floyd Mayweather — can you believe that?

At the end of the day, Mayweather Jr. is still the last man standing, he is the one who has the undefeated record, and he is the pay-per-view and pound for pound king. It is sad that there are still some delusional Pacquiao fans that believe he still has a shot at beating Mayweather. Some people just don’t see the light and live in denial for a long time.
