The Ultimate Fighting Championship will stream UFC 156: Jose Aldo vs. Frankie Edgar live online through YouTube, February 2, 2013 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
UFC 156 will feature one of the most competitive match-ups of the year with a featherweight superfight main event pitting the former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar in his featherweight debut against the UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo. Aldo last fought at UFC 142 with a KO of Chad Mendes, this is his first fight in a year and he is coming back against one of the best fighters in MMA, Frankie Edgar. Edgar was always considered an undersized 155 pound fighter, since losing back to back fights to the much bigger UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson, Edgar finally agreed to cut weight and fight at 145-pounds.
The UFC 156 undercard is stacked with superstar heavyweight Alistair Overeem making his return to the Octagon against Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva, former light heavyweight champ “Suga” Rashad Evans will face off against PRIDE veteran Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, welterweights Jon Fitch and Demian Maia square off, and star flyweight Joseph Benavidez will take on Ian ” Uncle Creepy” McCall.
