HBO World Championship Boxing presents Tavoris Cloud vs. Bernard Hopkins IBF light heavyweight championship on March 9, 2013 live at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. At 48-years-old, Bernard “The Executioner” Hopkins (52-6-2, 32 KOs) is still fighting and against younger opponents, he has created a legacy that would cement his place in the boxing hall of fame but his competitive nature and his clean living lifestyle has still allowed him to compete at the highest level of the sport. Hopkins will face the hungry, young, undefeated IBF light heavyweight champion Tavoris Cloud (24-0, 19 KOs), who at 31-years-old will face off against his toughest opponent yet and try to end the ageless legends career.
Also on the card is the undefeated knockout artist and welterweight stand out Keith “One Time” Thurman (19-0,18 KOs), he will be taking on former IBF welterweight champion Jan Zaveck (32-2-0, 18 KOs) of Slovenia.
Kicking off the action will be a special feature bout televised on HBO Latino Juan Carlos Salgado vs. Argenis Mendez which will air at 8:30 PM ET/PT an hour before the HBO World Championship Boxing card.
