Manny Pacquiao doesn’t have anymore possible options to fight since his pickings are slim to those in the Top Rank promotions boxing stable. The only option that he wants that will earn him the most money is another fight against Juan Manuel Marquez, who just knocked him out.
I personally think that Marquez shouldn’t fight Pacquiao a 5th time because after getting robbed three times he finally got the clean unquestionable victory he deserved and closed the book on the Pacquiao vs. Marquez saga with a story book one punch knockout.
Pacquiao must realize that he doesn’t have the leverage anymore of demanding the lions share against Marquez because he just got knocked out by him. Any other fighter on Top Rank’s list can get a lower percentage than Marquez because they won’t bring as much interest in the sport as Marquez would against Pacquiao. This stance by Pacquiao and his team of not giving Marquez a 50-50 split is very disrespectful, how can he call the shots when he just got beat decisively? If I were Marquez I wouldn’t take anything less, and I would also demand that Pacquiao take a Olympic style random blood and urine testing, just to be safe in this rematch.
Maybe Pacquiao and his team are forgetting that Marquez doesn’t need him at all, and should humble themselves back down to reality and offer him a fair split since a 5th fight will mainly be for Pacquiao to try and redeem himself from that humiliating KO. Juan Manuel Marquez has nothing more to prove, he already proved it, but if Manny Pacquiao really wanted to avenge his loss he would offer him a 50-50 split if not that he can go fight another washed up fighter or tomato can to pad his record and make him look good.
