Floyd Mayweather’s opponent Robert Guerrero whooped Manny Pacquiao in sparring

Not many people know who Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero is, but I do know one thing, he whooped Manny Pacquiao’s butt in sparring years ago. The same Pacquiao that people thought would beat Floyd Mayweather, the same guy that just got exposed and knocked out cold by Juan Manuel Marquez.

Guerrero is a humble Mexican-American boxer, he is a good strong willed person, but if that sparring session with Pacquiao really played out the way witnesses say it did, then I have to believe that he will have a big chance on Cinco de Mayo weekend against Floyd Mayweather. He basically exposed Manny Pacquiao in sparring and hit him with a good shot but since it was sparring he backed up and let Manny recover. Now you can see where his confidence comes from, he was calling out Manny Pacquiao for years until Marquez finished him, and now he wants Floyd Mayweather so he test himself against the best.

Here is the video of Robert Guerrero and an eye witness who saw the sparring session between Guerrero and Manny Pacquiao give his first hand account of the schooling The Ghost gave the Pacman years ago:

Understand that some of you reading this will call me a hater and think I am just siding with Guerrero because he is a fellow Mexican, but if you know what this man has been through outside the ring with his wife’s illness and his mind not being right because of all the stress and worry, you will know that this guy you are going to see on Saturday night will be a much different and well prepared fighter than he was before.

Floyd Mayweather fought a Mexican fighter named Jose Luis Castillo, many boxing fans thought he had no chance against Floyd, they said he was to slow, and would get hit all night by Floyd, but that fighter proved them wrong and gave Floyd his first unofficial loss. The judges gave the fight to Mayweather but the fans who watched it all knew that Castillo won that fight.

The same things that were said about Castillo before he fought Mayweather are the same things being said about Guerrero. Guerrero will follow in the footsteps of Castillo and try to rough Floyd up so that he will have to run away and tire out from all the pressure. One thing is for sure if you have a strong chin, with a good inside and provide lots of pressure you can give Floyd trouble. Guerrero is a true warrior, just like his name, which means warrior in Spanish and he will not back down from anyone. Nobody is giving him a realistic chance in this fight, but I feel Floyd Mayweather is ripe for the picking and Guerrero is being underestimated. I am not saying that Robert Guerrero will destroy Floyd Mayweather, but I will say this, don’t think this is going to be a walk in the park. I expect a highly competitive bout and I hope there is no controversy.
