Showtime boxing presents a night of boxing action live from the Home Depot Center in Carson, California with Marcos Maidana vs. Josesito Lopez and Alfredo Angulo vs. Erislandy Lara on June 8.
The main event of the Showtime broadcast will be a welterweight bout pitting hard hitting Marcos Maidana (33-3-30 KOs) of Argentina against always exciting Josesito Lopez (30-5-18 KOs) of Riverside, California. Maidana vs. Lopez could be a possible fight of the year contender given the stylistic match-up, both are come forward fighters who will brawl in the pocket and go for the knockout when they see their opponent hurt.
The co-feature bout is a junior middleweight bout between two of the top contenders in the 154-pound division, slick Cuban boxer Erislandy Lara (17-1-2-11 KOs) versus the aggressive pressure fighter Alfredo “El Perro” Angulo (22-2-18 KOs) of Mexico, the winner of this bout hopes to fight for the WBA title next which will either be Floyd Mayweather Jr. or Canelo Alvarez depending on which fighter wins on September 14.
