Heavyweight Polish boxer Artur Szpilka (16-0, 12 KOs) remains undefeated after knocking out Chicago’s Mike Mollo (20-5-1, 12 KOs) in a rematch on ESPN Friday Night Fights. The fight was all action and a repeat of the first fight with knockdowns and warrior spirit from both combatants.
Szpilka previously knocked out Mollo in round 6 of an 8 round bout in February after being knocked down early in the fight, the rematch was similar with Szpilka going down in round three and surviving the round, only to mount a comeback and finish off Mollo in round 5.
After the match the fighters hugged and showed great sportsmanship, the fans in attendance which consisted of many Polish fans in attendance to support Artur Szpilka and fans there to support Chicago local Mike Mollo enjoyed every single minute of the action and gave a loud standing ovation after the knockout.
