UFC on Fox 9: Demetrious Johnson vs. Joseph Benavidez 2 will take place at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California on December 14. The main event is a UFC Flyweight championship rematch between current champion Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson and Joseph Benavidez, the two fighters first met at UFC 152 and fought for the inaugural UFC Flyweight title, Johnson won and still holds the belt.
The four fight undercard features bantamweight, featherweight, and lightweight Mixed Martial Arts bouts. It will also feature California fighters and former TUF alumni. This will be the third time the UFC has visited the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento.
Urijah Faber will take on fellow Californian Michael McDonald in a bantamweight fight. In a featherweight fight, Chad Mendes will face Nik Lentz, and popular fan favorite Joe Lauzon will go up against Mac Danzig in a lightweight showdown between two former TUF (The Ultimate Fighter) reality show contestants.
