Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler two of the hardest hitting welterweights in the Ultimate Fighting Championship square off in the Octagon when they fight for the UFC Welterweight Championship Title vacated by Georges St-Pierre at UFC 171 in Dallas, Texas. The event will be livestreamed through YouTube video feed.
Hendricks felt he was robbed of the title when he fought GSP at UFC 167, many of the fans also had him winning. Shortly after the controversial fight St-Pierre retired and vacated the title, UFC President Dana White made Johnny Hendricks the number one contender and Robbie Lawler the number two and set up the fight to determine who the new UFC welterweight champion will be.
The American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas will also be filled with other great MMA fights including a welterweight match up between Carlos Condit and Tyron Woodley, lightweight showdown between the always exciting Diego Sanchez versus undefeated up and comer Myles Jury, Cuban Judo player Hector Lombard continues his run at welterweight to face Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist Jake Shields, and light heavyweights Ovince St. Preux and Nikita Krylov will provide some heavy action.
