The Ultimate Fighting Championship is back on YouTube Pay-Per-View with UFC 172: Jon Jones vs. Glover Teixeira on April 26 live from the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.
The number one pound-for-pound UFC fighter returns to the Octagon against a hungry challenger ready to take the title. UFC light heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones has reigned supreme since winning the belt in 2011, he will face one of his toughest opponents in MMA veteran Glover Teixeira.
Teixeira hasn’t lost a fighter in nine years, he is former 205 pound champion Chuck Liddell’s long time training partner. He loves to stand and bang with opponents, and uses a similar style of power hook boxing as his idol Mike Tyson. Glover will need to rely on his aggression to have a chance against longer elusive champion.
Also on the UFC 172 card is the return of Anthony Johnson, the former UFC welterweight contender will fight at his natural weight class of 205 pounds, he will take on Phil Davis in a light heavyweight bout.
Luke Rockhold will face Tim Boetsch in a middleweight match, lightweights Jim Miller and Yancy Medeiros will square off, and the featherweight Max Holloway vs. Andre Fili bout will open the broadcast.
