Ermano Fegatilli unassailable in fifth-round-stoppage over Csaba Toth; ready for anyone

June 21, 2014 By NB News

In boxing, not everything goes as planned.

For Ermano Fegatilli, that is applicable to describe the last two years of his boxing career.

Multiple fight cancellations, the indefinite postponement of the WBC’s Super Featherweight elimination tournament following the unfortunate death of Jose Sulaiman, and a much-disputed loss to Devis Boschiero marred Fegatilli, who has become disgruntled by boxing’s political end.

On June 7th, Fegatilli took a comeback fight against Csaba Toth, a Hungarian journeyman who comes to fight, but wholly failed to compete on Fegatilli’s level.

The win was felicitous for the 29-year-old contender, who trumped Toth in every category, and only furthered his confidence with a TKO in round five.

This moved Fegatilli to 29-4-0 with 6 KO’s, and prepared him for an EBU Featherweight title fight against the winner of Romain Jacob and heated rival Devis Boschiero in the fall.

For now, Fegatilli is putting boxing on standby, after putting the top Super Featherweights on notice. Fegatilli is getting married to his beloved fiancée in August, and is taking a break from the sport which he has dedicated so many hard years in the gym improving upon.

Even as he takes a break, you will hear his name again soon, because his dreams will not be dismayed.

Fegatilli has won four straight fights, and has supplemented his extraordinary, intangible features with a workmanlike drive to achieve and improve himself, in and out of the ring. On June 7th, he showcased that in his adopted home region of Liege, and wants to do just that on the big stage.

More updates will be released soon.
