HBO Boxing After Dark kicks off the 2015 season with a January 24 rubbermatch between action packed fighters Mike Alvarado and Brandon Rios, and rising super middleweight star Gilberto Ramirez taking on Maxim Vlasov as the opening bout of the broadcast.
Mike Alvarado and Brandon Rios are known for their never say die attitude and exciting fighting styles. The two combatants are 1 and 1, with Rios winning the first match by TKO stoppage and Alvarado winning the rematch with a decision victory. Both fights were at 140 pounds now they will go up to 147 and the welterweight division to settle the score in a a third and final bout.
Unbeaten Mexican boxer Gilberto Ramirez will open the telecast against Russian Maxim Vlasov in a 10-rounder. Ramirez is coming off a stoppage of veteran Fulgencio Zuniga and Vlasov is coming into the bout with an impressive 11 fight win streak.
The Alvarado vs. Rios 3, Ramirez vs. Vlasov bouts will take place at the 1stBank Center, Bloomfield, Colorado on Saturday, January. 24 at 9:45 PM ET/PT on HBO.
