HBO Boxing presents Lucas Matthysse vs. Viktor Postol and Humberto Soto vs. Antonio Orozco double header live from the StubHub Center in Carson, California on Oct. 3, 2015.
Lucas Matthysse of Argentina is one of the most exciting punchers in boxing and probably the hardest hitter in the 140 pound division. He will have a chance to achieve his ultimate goal and dream of becoming a world champion when he fights Ukrainian boxer Viktor Postol for the vacant WBC light welterweight title.
Postol is trained by Freddie Roach and Marvin Somodio out of the Wild Card Boxing club in Hollywood, he is the slight underdog going into the fight but believes his boxing ability will get him the victory as well as becoming a world champion for the first time.
For Matthysse a title is not only on the line but a chance at a possible career defining fight and big money payday against Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao.
The opening bout of the television broadcast will feature Mexican boxing veteran and former champion Humberto Soto against rising undefeated star Antonio Orozco of Mexico. This is a huge chance to shine for Orozco, who fights out of the 140 pound division, if he wins big over Soto it will be big win for his record.
