Top Rank and HBO PPV present the battle of unbeaten champions, Terence Crawford vs. Viktor Postol watch the results live on July 23 on HBO Pay-Per-View.
Terence Crawford (28-0, 20 KOs) comes from Omaha, Nebraska and has quickly become a showcase fighter on HBO, he is a former champion at 135 pounds and owns the current 140 pound belt. After defeating Hank Lundy by stoppage, he set his eyes on a unification bout against the tough WBC champion Viktor Postol (28-0, 12 KOs).
Postol hails from Ukraine and trains out of the Wild Card boxing in Hollywood, California with legendary trainer Freddie Roach. Postol is coming off a huge upset KO victory of Lucas Matthysse winning the vacant WBC championship in the process.
Crawford is touted as the next promising American boxer star, he is not yet known to the casual fans but is popular with the boxing public. Promoter Bob Arum said anything above 80,000 thousand buys will be a success for the new entrant to the PPV market.
The winner of tonight’s Crawford vs. Postol fight could be next in line to fight Manny Pacquiao in November.
