Matchroom Boxing heads to the Chase Center in San Francisco, California for Devin Haney vs. Regis Prograis live on DAZN, December 9th, with a FREE live stream preliminary fight card and countdown show Before The Bell on YouTube.
Devin Haney (30-0, 15 KOs) is from San Francisco and the 25-year-old former undisputed lightweight champion is happy to be back and to headline a card in front of hometown fans.
The elusive boxer is stepping up a weight division to the 140-pound class to take on the hard hitting southpaw WBC champion Regis Prograis (29-1, 24 KOs).
The 34-year-old Prograis comes from New Orleans, Louisiana and he has no issue defending his belt in Haney’s backyard because he has no fear of losing it, that is how confident he is heading into Saturday’s fight.
Haney isn’t a power puncher but his father Bill wants his son to knockout Prograis to put the light welterweights on notice, that Haney is here to conquer the division like he did at 135 lbs.
The opening fight of the DAZN broadcast will be a women’s bantamweight title fight featuring the current IBF champion Ebanie Bridges a fan favorite from Australia taking on Japan’s Miyo Yoshida in a 10-round championship clash.
The Free Fight prelims live stream on YouTube will feature three bouts. Amari Jones takes on Quilisto Madera in an 8-round super welterweight bout. A women’s boxing bout between Beatriz Ferreira and Destiny Jones is scheduled for 8-rounds in the super featherweight division, and Shamar Canal fights Jose Antonio Meza in a 6-round super featherweight scrap.
