Undefeated former undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney (30-0, 15 KOs) steps up a weight division to take on one of the most feared champions in the light welterweight class Regis Prograis (29-1, 24 KOs) and the fight takes place at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California on December 9th.
Haney, 25, couldn’t make the 135-lbs division anymore and decided to step up to 140 pounds to captured a world title there and collect all the belts like he did at lightweight. To show he is serious about his quest he went after the hard hitting champion Regis Prograis.
Haney could have easily debuted against an easier opponent but he doesn’t want cake walk fights and is out to become a legend in boxing.
The 34-year-old southpaw Regis Prograis comes from Louisiana and he will travel to the challenger Haney’s backyard of San Francisco to defend his title. Prograis doesn’t believe the soft punching Haney can hurt him and he plans to make him feel all his power on fight night to make him question his decision to move up a weight class.
The co-main event features undefeated Australian contender Liam Paro taking on American contender Montana Love in 12-round light welterweight belt.
Australian women’s IBF bantamweight champion Ebanie “The Blonde Bomber” Bridges will put her title on the line against former champion Miyo Yoshida of Japan.
