Heavyweight titans Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou met up in London, England on Tuesday to announce their upcoming March 8th showdown in Saudi Arabia.

Joshua who is coming off a sensational stoppage victory over Otto Wallin, and Ngannou who put up one of the greatest pro boxing debuts against the WBC undefeated heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, are ready to mix it up in the boxing ring in a mega crossover bout for the ages.

Ngannou who already captured UFC gold as the heavyweight champion in the premier Mixed Martial Arts organization, is ready to make his dream come true of becoming a world champion in boxing.

Boxing was the Cameroonian heavyweight’s first love, but he was in need of money and instead of climbing the heavyweight boxing ranks he opted for the quick money that mixed martial arts offered and it paid off because he was able to travel from France to the USA and become a star in the sport of MMA.

Ngannou was able to shock the world when he faced off against the best heavyweight in the world Tyson Fury, nobody gave him a chance and many boxing aficionados believed Fury would just toy with him and even stop him when he wanted, but the tables were turned and Ngannou gave Fury real trouble. The slick Fury couldn’t find his timing and many of his punches missed or were blocked by the MMA fighter turned boxer. The most stunning moment was when Ngannou was able to land a counter that sent Fury to the canvas.

In the end Fury was able to win on points but it was controversial as many observers believed Ngannou did enough to at least get a Draw or closed points decision.

Anthony Joshua is out to show Tyson Fury how its done, having disposed of Otto Wallin who gave Fury one of his toughest fights, he now takes on Ngannou who also gave Fury one of his hardest bouts, and he plans to put on a decisive display of boxing and the goal is to knock out the former UFC champ.

Joshua vs. Ngannou takes place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on March 8, 2024.
