Top Rank holds a Super Bowl LVIII week boxing event live on Thursday from the Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas, headlined by Teofimo Lopez versus Jamaine Ortiz for the WBO light welterweight world title. The Co-main event features US Olympian and lightweight prospect Keyshawn Davis taking on former world champion Jose Pedraza.
Teofimo Lopez (19-1, 13 KOs) returns to the ring and this time he will defend his WBO 140-pound title which he won when he beat the consensus undisputed champion Josh Taylor.
Lopez who is one of the most explosive and talented boxers in the game today, will look to show off on the big stage when he fights tough challenger Jamaine Ortiz before the big San Francisco 49ers vs. Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl LVIII football game held at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday, February 10th.
Jamaine Ortiz (17-1-1, 8 KOs) has the opportunity of the lifetime in his first world title opportunity and on the biggest stage of his career. The 27-year-old Ortiz believes he will upset Lopez and this will be the start of his reign as champion.
The co-main event will pit American Keyshawn Davis (9-0, 6 KOs) against Puerto Rican two-division world champion Jose Pedraza (29-5-1, 14 KOs) in a 10-round lightweight bout.
Davis, is one of the most promising young stars in the Top Rank stable and he will be for the toughest test of his young career against a veteran former champion with loads of experience. If Davis can beat Pedraza with no issue, it will send a message to the lightweight division that he is the real deal and ready to contend for a title.
