In a sad turn of events the original scheduled main event for the evening was a Bantamweight title unification bout between Abner Mares and Joseph Agbeko, but Agbeko had to pull out of the bantamweight title unification bout against Abner Mares due to having a sciatic nerve attack that caused him to collapse at LAX airport.
