Mayweather vs. Pacquiao: A Cruel Joke Played On Boxing Fans

The cancellation of Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao has sent grown men into a deep depression for many men this boxing match was a late Christmas present, a gift they wanted more than anything.  This fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao was so big that even people who don’t watch boxing  have been talking about it.

I won’t say the disappointment in hearing that the fight was announced “DEAD” by Bob Arum has brought grown men to tears but it has come pretty darn close.  I have never seen adults so giddy about an event like this before.  The anticipation reminds me of a kid waiting for Christmas Day.

Is it on or is it off? Make up your minds and give the boxing fans and people who have been dreaming of this match up the peace of mind they need and make the fight official now.

Bob Arum seems to be the most emotional person in boxing right now.  He becomes extremely difficult to work with in these negotiations and has also canceled big fights in the past like Kelly Pavlik vs. Paul Williams due to his emotional impulses and dislike of Williams manager Al Haymon who also manages Floyd Mayweather Jr..

Watch the video below that is basically how boxing fans feel right now with this on again and off again steroid drug testing drama between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao.   The look on this young boys face is how many people would feel if Bob Arum goes through with Manny Pacquiao vs. Joshua Clottey or if Floyd Mayweather Jr. faces Matthew Hatton instead of fighting each other.

It’s like we are being taken for a long ride and pulled a fast one at the boxing promoters pleasure in some cruel sick joke.

Please guys no more blaming or pointing fingers put your pride aside and just give the boxing fans what we want and are willing to pay our hard earned money for.  I wouldn’t mind watching Pacquiao vs. Clottey but only after Pacquiao vs. Mayweather fight each other.

I hope Arum who is a wise man and a legendary promoter in boxing realizes how historical this boxing event is and tries to make Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao happen without hanging up the phone.
