Bob Arum probably knows Manny Pacquiao will lose to Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Manny Pacquiao’s promoter, Bob Arum, is a slick, smart businessman, he may not want to give the people the fight they want to see but instead he will try his hardest to make the fight that “HE” wants to see happen.

Either way, Bob Arum probably knows that Pacquiao will lose to Floyd Mayweather Jr.,  so, if Pacquiao loses why not let it be against one from his own Top Rank stable like Antonio Margarito or Miguel Cotto? That way Bob can get a bigger cut of the revenue and if Pacquiao loses he will be left with another fighter to build up as the one who beat Manny Pacquiao, so, it’s a win/win situation for Arum.

Bob Arum could care less if boxing dies as long as he gets his money. He was one of the people who made the initial Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao negotiations difficult the first time around and now he is doing the same thing by giving Floyd Mayweather a deadline or else he will put Pacquiao against Antonio Margarito or Miguel Cotto in November.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. knows a thing or two about Bob.  He used to be under the Top Rank banner and was being praised by Arum as the greatest fighter of our time, until, Mayweather realized that Arum wasn’t paying him or promoting him properly so he left and that’s when things became sour. When Floyd left Top Rank he became the biggest star in boxing and the two of them began to feud, Arum no longer called Floyd the best,  he said Floyd was a runner and avoided challenges and many of these insults were out of spite.

Floyd Mayweather claims Manny Pacquiao has the worst deal in all of boxing because Bob Arum gets a huge chunk of his paycheck and I believe Mayweather when he says this because he knows from first hand experience since he was promoted by Arum for many years.

If Manny Pacquiao fights Floyd Mayweather Jr., Arum doesn’t get the same amount of money he would if Manny faces one of his own fighters.  This goes to show you why boxing is slowly dying and giving way to UFC and mixed martial arts because of greedy promoters like Don King and Bob Arum who don’t make the sport exciting anymore.

The boxing fans don’t want to be fed fights like Manny Pacquiao vs. Joshua Clottey or Pacquiao vs. Cotto again. We want to see the best fight the best and I am almost ashamed to say this but I am beginning to watch UFC more than boxing.

Arum likes to insult anything that is a threat to him and UFC and Floyd Mayweather Jr. are exactly that and its no wonder he doesn’t want to make the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao fight happen because he doesn’t want to do business with someone he despises and knows will beat his fighter.

Everyone involved wants this fight! Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather, Freddie Roach, Roger Mayweather, Oscar De La Hoya, Golden Boy Promotions,  want the fight to happen the only one who doesn’t want it is Bob Arum. So let’s not blame the fighters or Golden Boy promotions if this fight doesn’t get made soon, boxing fans know the real reason and it has nothing to do with Floyd Mayweather being difficult or Manny Pacquiao being scared of blood tests and needles.
