Shane Mosley is already claiming on his Twitter account that he is the next opponent for Manny Pacquiao on April of 2011 in Las Vegas, but I feel that Shane Mosley isn’t worthy enough to fight Manny, he needs one more loss first to face the Filipino, he is only my second choice; I believe there is a more worthy opponent out there for Pacquiao and his name is “El Matador” Ricardo Mayorga.
Ricardo Mayorga the trash talking Nicaraguan and former Welterweight and Junior Middleweight champion of the world, told FightHype that he wants to fight Manny Pacquiao.
I say Bob Arum should let him fight! After all they gave the criminal Antonio Margarito a fight with Manny and his biggest multimillion dollar payday of his life.
This is the fighter that deserves a shot at the cash cow and greatest boxer alive! Mayorga fits the bill, shot fighter, past his prime brawler with no technique, lost to Mosley by knockout, coming off a long layoff. Forget prime boxers like Juan Manuel Marquez, Andre Berto and Sergio Martinez coming off sensational victories, if you want to win the Pacquiao sweepstakes, you have to look like crap in your last fights, come out of retirement, or cheat in boxing and be suspended to land a fight with the Superstar Pacman.
Mayorga is a vulgar trash talker and he can sell a fight like no other. The casual fans will buy it up and just like Margarito they will pay just to see Manny knock the disrespectful villain out. Ricardo Mayorga on HBO 24/7 will be a ratings win for the cable network and the Pacquiao vs. Mayorga fight will bring in over 1.3 million ppv buys. All of the media and people who paid to watch Pacquiao destroy the over the hill chain smoking fighter, will praise Manny Pacquiao as the greatest fighter who ever lived!
Move over Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Sugar Ray Robinson, Roberto Duran, Willie Pep, Joe Louis, Henry Armstrong, Marvin Hagler, you guys fought too many top level fighters and prime fighters at real weight divisions not catchweights to be considered the greatest fighter, you guys do not meet the new criteria, Manny Pacquiao has set the new standard.
This is the new state of boxing, where you don’t have to fight the best to be considered the best in the world!
