If people wanna call Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and Wladimir “Dr. Steelhammer” Klitschko the best boxers in their divisions, why haven’t we seen them fight the guys the world wants to see them fight?
The truth of the matter is Manny Pacquiao is ducking Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Wladimir Klitschko is obviously ducking WBA heavyweight champion David Haye.
How can anyone call Pacman the number 1 pound for pound boxer in the world today if he isn’t willing to fight the best boxers in his division like Floyd Mayweather Jr. (The true pound for pound king), Sergio Martinez and Andre Berto?
And Wladimir is good at fighting slow overweight boxers, but the moment a live dog like David Haye shows up he pretends like the man doesn’t exist.
Pacquiao and Wlad are duckers — plain and simple — these guys are hurting the sport of boxing by avoiding challenges and the public is being mislead by these media hyped creations.
If Manny Pacquiao and Wladimir Klitschko have nothing to hide why not just take the random Olympic blood tests and do an even purse split?
I would like to see both fighters take blood tests to prove they don’t use steroids or other type of drugs. They need to finally step up and take a real challenge on. If Wlad doesn’t want to fight Haye, fight undefeated former Olympic gold medalist Alexander Povetkin.
Bob Arum and Freddie Roach know Floyd Mayweather, Berto and Martinez would all mop the floor with Manny, so they are gonna protect him as much as they can because they know the public will pay to watch Pacquiao fight washed up fighters like Shane Mosley.
Wladimir knows that his chin isn’t the greatest and that David Haye will be too slick for him, so he would rather fight a guy like Dereck Chisora instead.
The sport of boxing looks bad when the two top guys in their divisions are unwilling to make the biggest and most important fights in the sport happen.
Until Manny and Wlad step up, the two best guys in their divisions are Floyd Mayweather Jr. and David Haye.
