Why would Marquez be scared of Rios when he wants Pacquiao?

I read an article today on NowBoxing.com by a pro-Pacquiao fan who constantly bashes Mexican legend Juan Manuel Marquez, and in his article he suggests that Marquez should fight the young and hungry lightweight champion Brandon Rios, instead of fighting Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao.

This pathetic excuse of a writer named Don Donatello even makes a living legend like Juan Manuel Marquez seem like a chicken in his article and disrespects him by saying he cherry picks fights. When he started insulting Marquez and his opponents at lightweight the writer already lost all credibility as a boxing fan because if anyone cherry picks it’s Manny Pacquiao.  (Read article here)

To call a blood and guts warrior like Marquez a chicken shows how biased and hateful he is, how can anyone deny this man is a great fighter and a brave warrior?

The whole reason why this writer wants to see Juan Manuel Marquez fight Brandon Rios is because of FEAR! He fears that Marquez is too dangerous for Manny and might beat him in a third fight, so he wants to soften Marquez up or have him get beat up by the larger Brandon Rios who comes into lightweight fights weighing almost 160 pounds.

A lot of Pacquiao fans seem to be okay with Manny fighting washed up or drained opponents, but anytime someone like Juan Manuel Marquez comes along they cower in fear. They know that Marquez beat Manny Pacquiao twice and gives Manny trouble every time they fight.

They don’t want Manny Pacquiao to lose so instead they try to play fantasy matchmaker and match Marquez up with dangerous guys. What more does the nearly 40-year-old Marquez have to do to land a rubbermatch with Manny Pacquiao? Marquez already destroyed tough prime lightweights and fought the best pound-4-pound boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. something that Manny Pacquiao didn’t have the guts to do. Does Marquez have to get in a few more wars first before he can land another fight to settle the score with Filipino?

If anyone deserves a fight with Manny Pacquiao it’s the true warrior Juan Manuel Marquez.
