Floyd Mayweather’s Been A Fan Of Manny Pacquiao For Years

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the master of ducking and spreading lies hoping they will become the truth. Anytime Floyd spreads a lie the truth comes out, like when he called out Manny Pacquiao saying ‘PACQUIAO, YOU’RE NEXT’, and later saying he never said that and accused a reporter of trying to put words in his mouth.

Floyd has stated on many occasions that someone in boxing just doesn’t become great at 25 years old — that could be true — but Manny Pacquiao was already being touted as a boxing star in Asia long before the age of 25. In 1998, at just 19-years-old, Pacquiao was actually a legitimate world champion in the Philippines, beating the Lineal and WBC flyweight champion Chatchai Sasakul by knockout. He came to America in 2001 and his first fight was on HBO against the IBF champion Lehlohonolo Ledwaba from South Africa, and with only two weeks notice he destroyed the champion and blasted through him with speed and power that amazed the HBO commentators making them instant fans of Manny Pacquiao, and after that he has fought almost all of his American fights on HBO because HBO saw they had a future star on their hands. At the age of 24, Pacquiao the heavy underdog demolished Mexican boxing legend Marco Antonio Barrera with an amazing display of nonstop aggression and stamina. He was a top talent in boxing even before he fought Oscar De La Hoya and one of his biggest fans was none other than Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Here is video proof that Floyd Mayweather knew who Manny Pacquiao was several years ago, in the video Floyd is seen cheering for Pacquiao during the Erik Morales vs. Manny Pacquiao rematch and acknowledges him as the second best fighter right behind him in boxing.

By now the fair boxing fans know that Floyd Mayweather is clearly ducking Manny Pacquiao and jealous of the fame and accolades that the Pacman has received. Floyd has to insult Manny because he is a threat to his legacy. He doesn’t want to fight Pacquiao anytime soon, and knows that Manny is a really great fighter, if Pacquiao was so easy and he wasn’t so great then Floyd would have fought him already without drug testing. This “Take the Test” crap coming from Floyd is all a ploy to duck Manny and make him look like a cheater giving Floyd a reason not to fight him.

How can Floyd act like he didn’t know who Manny Pacquiao was when he was one of the Pacman’s biggest fans before Manny began moving up to welterweight? The video doesn’t lie, Floyd was rooting for Pacquiao years ago, and called him the number two best pound 4 pound fighter in the world, which is a huge compliment coming from Mayweather Jr. the self proclaimed best of all time. Why the change of tune? The answer is simple, ENVY.
