Pacquiao is like John Cena and Mayweather is like The Rock

It’s so fun to see the roles reversed when a baby face gets turned heel and doesn’t enjoy getting booed. The reason this happens in the world of pro wrestling is because the baby face does something bad like back stab a good friend or people get sick and tired of his nice guy act.

John Cena was the WWE’s face, all the kids loved him, fans cheered for him because he was the humble and polite good guy, never insulting fans always treating his fans with respect.

But since The Rock’s return to the WWE, people got fed up with that goody two shoes act of Cena, and turned their back on him or more like realized how much of a fake Cena was.

When Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao the most beloved boxer in the world robbed Juan Manuel Marquez of his WBO Welterweight title, the fans started doing something they never did before to the Pacman — they booed him loud and clear! Manny Pacquiao the humble champion who could do no wrong was getting booed and turned heel over night similar to the way John Cena was booed when The Rock returned.

Manny Pacquiao and Cena are so used to playing the good guy that when they hear boos from the audience they don’t know how to react, like they want to burst out in tears and ask why are you guys mad at me? The bad guy is a role that they will never ever be able to play convincingly but the reason people boo them is not because of them having a bad attitude or being a jerk it’s because of how phony they are.

The fans would rather get behind someone who is real and with attitude like The Rock and Floyd “Money” Mayweather. People like fighters who keep it real, not these holier than thou goody two shoes with no personality like the Pacman and John Cena.

Survivor Series 2011 just finished, and what we saw was The Rock display his technical ring skills and his superior mic skills over John Cena. The fans booed any time Cena stepped into the ring, and cheered at the masterful wrestling skills of The Rock.

Cena like Pacquiao isn’t the most technical or charismatic on the mic but he was pushed hard by Vince McMahon as a star, The Rock like Floyd Mayweather is the best at what he does and can sell himself with his bad ass attitude. Bob Arum pushed Pacquiao as a star and babied him with easy fights till he got exposed by Marquez. Mayweather is the most technical boxer in the game and fought and beat the best over and over.

When or If Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight, you better believe the roles will change, Mayweather will be the peoples champ and fan favorite and Manny Pacquiao will get booed so loud you won’t be able to hear his ring walk music.
