Robert Guerrero will pull off the upset and beat Floyd Mayweather on May 4

Upsets happen in boxing and on May 4th, 2013, you will witness one of the biggest upsets when Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero will humble the cherry picking Floyd Mayweather Jr..

Not one person seems to be picking Guerrero to beat Mayweather, most people will tell you that Guerrero is just another cherry picked opponent, they claim he has no shot, or he is too slow. I agree that he is another hand picked opponent by Mayweather, but this will be a cherry pick gone wrong.

Floyd Mayweather at this stage of his career is there to be hit, just watch the Miguel Cotto fight. Floyd fought a shot, already beaten down, bloated, past his prime, slow Miguel Cotto and was getting touched up pretty bad. Cotto wasn’t even at his peak weight, he is not a natural 154-pounder, and his best years were at 140-147 pounds.

If a slow and tired Miguel Cotto could catch Floyd Mayweather, I would imagine that Guerrero who is much younger, taller and stronger would be able to land some punishing blows to Floyd’s arms, body and chin. People forget that Floyd said from his own mouth that Cotto was his toughest fight and that he got hit a lot.

Another key aspect is Guerrero’s southpaw advantage, Floyd has had problems with southpaws before, especially those that are aggressive. Southpaw Victor Ortiz was roughing Floyd up, until he headbutt Floyd and than got sucker punched. Another southpaw, DeMarcus “Chop Chop” Corley rocked Mayweather when they fought but failed to capitalize and follow up on it. The key weapon is the straight left hand, Floyd is open for straight left hands, Cotto landed it a lot, and Guerrero has a hard left hand that he landed on Andre Berto who was using Floyd’s shoulder roll stance. Combine that left hand with the desire and will to win, Guerrero is inspired and he is hungry, he doesn’t have millions of dollars, he lives in a small home in Gilroy, California and his wife was sick with Leukemia as he stood by her side during treatments, she is a key factor for his motivation, he will endure every pain in that ring because for him that pain is nothing compared to the pain his wife had to endure.

Guerrero will give Mayweather hell in this fight he will bruise him up and bloody his nose worse than Cotto did. I pick him by decision in a very brutal fight, but I have a strong feeling they might give Floyd Mayweather another gift decision like they did in the first Jose Luis Castillo fight.
