Pacquiao “Mayweather don’t be a Coward face me in the ring”

In a statement released by Manny Pacquiao and Top Rank promotions, Filipino dynamo Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao has threatened to file libel, slander and defamation lawsuits against Floyd Mayweather Jr , Floyd Sr. and Golden Boy Promotions for false steroid allegations.
Pacquiao believes the Mayweather camp has insulted and defamed his good character and name in the media with accusations of steroid use.
Manny Pacquiao who is celebrating Christmas with his family at his home in the Philippines wants Floyd Mayweather Jr. to stop talking and fight with his fists not his mouth.
“I maintain and assure everyone that I have not used any form or kind of steroids and that my way to the top is a result of hard work, hard work, hard work and a lot of blood spilled from my past battles in the ring, not outside of it…. have no idea what steroids look like and my fear in God has kept me safe and victorious through all these years.” said Pacquiao the 31 year old 7 division world champion boxer.
“Now, I say to Floyd Mayweather Jr., don’t be a coward and face me in the ring, mano-a-mano and shut your big, pretty mouth, so we can show the world who is the true king of the ring…..Pretty Boy Floyd, face me instead on March 13 in Las Vegas and not in some talk show forum or in press releases written for you by people who don’t even know me. Face me in a fight where I get to punch back. You and your cohorts have accused me of using performance-enhancing drugs. Now, I say, the burden of proof should now come from you, not me,” expressed Pacquiao.
Bob Arum who promotes Manny Pacquiao has called off the fight due to the Mayweather camp not willing to negotiate terms for the blood testing scheduling.
Arum who runs Top Rank promotions is looking for another opponent for Pacquiao to face on March 13, 2010, possible names are Paulie Malignaggi, 140 lb WBO champion Timothy Bradley and a chance for an 8th title against 154 lb WBA champion Yuri Foreman.

I’m a Filipino and a pacman fan but I’m a little bit disappointed and surprised why Pacquiao doesn’t want to subject himself to blood testing. My message to Pacquiao is this, You always said that you have a big responsibility to the boxing fans and the boxing world and you always want to make your fans happy, then make this fight happen! make us, the boxing fans happy. I don’t mean to be demanding but that statement came from you and you always say that after your fights. You are the 7 division title holder and the number one pound for pound king, that title is no joke and you have to prove that you deserve that title. You also said and expressedly believe that if GOD is with you, there is nothing to be afraid of, right? I also have faith in GOD and as a person with the same faith like you (it may be different as to what extent), I do believe that you will come out victorious whatever obstacles you go through. Personally and as well with your fans, don’t believe that you’re into PED’s. I hope you try to look deeper on how the tests would be made. I’m pretty sure it won’t jeopardize your strength because the testing bodies knows what they’re doing and that your opponent is also subjected to the same test to be fair, besides your faith gives you strength that comes from GOD right? Pacman does not have to prove anything. He does not have to fight Floyd. He has been clean. Nothing EXCEPT Floyd Sr’s accusation is blemishing his reputation. In court, he will prove it instead of taking it for Floyd’s benefit. Do you guys really believe in the Mayweathers more that Pacman? Just their character says a lot about them. It is foolish to compare the weight demand versus the drug testing demand in support to an argument. The Pacquiao camp has every right to demand a $10M fine because Mayweather, on his last fight, came two pounds heavier than the weight limit and “refused” to give it up. Instead, he settled to paying the $600k fine and get that weight advantage. He has a “history” of foul play so making that demand is only just.
Pacquiao, on the other hand, never failed a drug test. And even though you argue that some other athletes are able to slip through the testing, it is still unreasonable and without proper merit to treat an athlete guilty without being proven so. You, the Mayweathers, and everyone else who fault Pacquiao for not wanting to take the test have already, simply put, put on the “guilty” verdict on him–without any proof. The only basis to your claim is a statement from a high school dropout and convicted drug addict who claims that he has not seen a fighter go up in weight and still win, therefore he is taking illegal drugs.

Mayweather wanted the fight at 154lb but since Pacman wanted 147, he agreed. Mayweather wanted 10oz gloves but since Pacman wanted 8oz, he agreed. Mayweather also agreed to the $10 million overweight penalty. That’s 3 of Pacman demands that he has agreed on. Shouldn’t Pacman agree to this 1. That’s why they call it NEGOTIATING. Mayweather’s camp is trying harder to make this fight than the Pacman camp. I understand sticking by your fighter but when you give a bias opinion, it’s garbage and no one listens. Also, testing after the fight is good but NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Lets say they fight and Pacman wins but tests positive AFTER THE FIGHT. The damage is already done and Mayweather may not ever be the same fighter again. Ask Miguel Cotto if finding out after the fight is enough. Cotto was an excellent fighter, was cheated by Margarito and now, sad to say, he has never been the same! Plan and simple Mayweather has agreed to 3 on Pacman’s demands. The reason why Pacman doesn’t want to take a blood test before the fight because he will feel light headed and not be 100% from all the blood taken out. Try going through an Olympic blood test and tell me how you feel. Would you fight in that condition?
