The UFC 196 event will feature Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz in the main event and the co-feature is a Women’s Bantamweight title fight between champion Holly Holm and challenger Miesha Tate. The event will be streamed live on YouTube video live PPV stream and takes place on March 5 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
The most intriguing man in the UFC, is brash Irishman known as the Notorious Conor McGregor, he talks a big game and backs it up. A flashy and flamboyant showman in and out of the ring, he predicts fights and executes them in the Octagon. He was originally scheduled to face Rafael dos Anjos for the UFC lightweight championship, but dos Anjos broke his foot two weeks before the March 5th date, instead of canceling the event, Conor McGregor told UFC President to get him a replacement, Nate Diaz was the only one willing to step up to the plate. The bought is now going to be held at 170 pounds.
The co-main event is a Women’s Bantamweight Championship, champion Holly “The Preacher’s Daughter” Holm is unbeaten in MMA, and is coming off her biggest victory and one of the greatest upsets in combative sports history after dismantling and knocking out the previously unbeaten women’s champion Ronda Rousey. The KO was the Kick heard around the world and instead of waiting out an entire year for a rematch with Rousey, she opted to fight the tough and durable veteran Miesha “Cupcake” Tate. Tate is best known as Ronda Rousey’s arch rival, she is a skilled wrestler with an excellent chin and lots of heart, she believes she can test Holm’s chin and use her wrestling skills to win the fight. Tate wants to be in Holly’s shoe and be the one to pull off the upset, should be an interesting match-up with contrasting styles.
