The Golden Boy, Oscar De La Hoya, is sporting a fresh shiner (black eye) heading into his fight with current WBC lightweight champion Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao.
De La Hoya, is considered the favorite due to his size and his powerful left hook, but he believes the size doesn’t matter because he is currently two pounds under the welterweight limit of 147lbs.
Critics blasted De La Hoya for calling up the former featherweight champion Pacquiao, who recently moved to 135 pounds from 130 to stop David Diaz to win the WBC lightweight championship.
Pacquiao must go up another two weight lass to fight Oscar. Oscar fought Floyd Mayweather Jr at 154 pounds and lost a split decision to the brash undefeated American, he believes a win over Pacquiao will bring Mayweather out of retirement to give him the rematch he desires this time at the welterweight limit.
